i love his work dear michiko, at the los angeles county museum of art we have this painting as part of the permanent collection:

whenever i visit i make a point of going to visit her :) it's even more impressive in person.

Amazing paintings -- as someone who has tried (and failed) at painting (LOL!), I can truly appreciate the genius it takes to pull this off!

How divine, there's nothing like capturing light, it's such a challenge for a painter. That painting is so intense yet so soft...

I didn't know it was at the LACMA, thanks to dear Gabbi for mentioning this.

Absolutely stunning. I literally want to hold my breath when looking at these paintings. His style emanates a very quiet mystique.
